  India begins auction for 5G spectrum On July 26, 2022 India launched its biggest ever spectrum auction, which includes telephone and internet data signals.  Under this spectrum process 72 GHz of 5G airwaves have been offered at a cost of Rs 4.3 lakh crore. Importance of 5G Spectrum The fifth generation or 5G spectrum offers ultra-high speed, which is 10 times the speed of 4G.
